I’m seeing this reflected in FB feeds gone dark. A few days ago they attempted to cut Facebook access but citizens found a quick workaround with VPN solutions. So now the regime is completely pulling the plug. Phone access may also be cut.

And this will leave the military in charge of what, exactly? An irrelevant backwater which the rest of the world will quickly forget about. Yeah good thinking there. Steal something then shut it down. Gets you nowhere.
They did it from 1962 - 1988.

as much as I think that the Burmese army has zero legitimacy, Facebook access is problematic
on the other hand, it’s been two years.
