Your periodic reminder that pilot sightings of strange things has historically been pretty worthless as evidence of anything. This is not a dig at pilots- they have a lot more important things to worry about and the fact is it is very difficult to judge distance, size, speed, and shape of objects in the sky. Way more difficult than most people seem to realize. Hence all those UFO reports that are birds, sun flares, balloons, insects on the canopy, etc.
