I suppose watching the Big Bang Theory is for me, a white nerd, the closest I will get to the experience of black Americans watching something like “The Fresh Prince of Bel Air”; it doesn’t reflect my life experience, but there is a representation of My People on the TV and they are aspirationally loads more successful than me.
