I read the word “hybridizes” and envisioned self-evolving neural networks along the lines of Tierra fighting for dominance, which would be a pretty neat consequence of this whole IoT thing.

But no, it’s just boring old human innovation bumping along, isn’t it.

I assume the worm fixes the vulnerability once it takes over a host? Are there any vaccine worms in the wild that go around fixing the vulnerability and then just sits dormant ?

No current ones that I know of, but…
