I waited in line on opening weekend and watched it 3 times in a row on the same ticket at the Cinerama in Seattle. We smoked pot in our seats.
We felt vindicated.

Tank Girl is much more of a classic - it had one movie based on a comic. (Too many krappy filters, but still a good work.)
Dune had a movie, a tv series, and a new movie so obviously it was just trying to milk the original. Duh!
