I wonder if the owner is giving verbal directions to the (well trained) dog; “paw left, paw right”. Still very cute.
I’m wondering if the dog is simply saying, “Yeah, I don’t want that, thanks - get it out of my face.”
I wonder if he’s been trained to do that and then gets a bigger treat after the camera is off.
To me it seems like training, though if true it still speaks positively about the dog’s temperament and I would consider them to be the best doggo
“These smell funny… here, you first.”
This seems like training, teaching the beautiful sweet dog to defer treat-time.
It reminds me of a doc clip I saw where they were trying to sort out dogs for service work. They put a bunch of goldies in a run, told them stay and threw in a bunch of tennis balls. It was something to see so many of them (not all) resist the temptation, knowing of course they’re all damn good dogs.
I dunno, seems kind of passive-aggressive to me. A real piece of work.
I believe these were prepared with artificial truffle oil.
“Come on, human, I’ve told you to run my treats past my food taster before I will touch them!”
Ahhh, sweet pup! Animals are awesome!
I dog sit, and one of the regulars is around often enough to have been promoted to full pack member by my dog. When she is there, neither will eat their dinner until both have been served. Not so much with treats, though.
