Nokia's Windows tablet goes head to head against new owner

Hello,

I suspect the way things shake out eventually is that Microsoft’s “Nokia Lumia” division will release the Windows RT and Windows Phone devices, while Microsoft’s Hardware Group will continue to develop the Windows x86-64 devices. That’s just a guess on my part, but it does seem like a logical way to split things, given the overlap between the two organizations.

Thanks, Daneel! If I end up keeping it I might go that route; I use Ubuntu a lot. For now I am playing with win8 on it, though.

I have found two uses for it so far… watching Colbert while cooking and remotely accessing w2012 servers from the Lay-Z-boy. I theorize it will be good for drawing and will attempt to try that next. I’m normally a number #2 pencil kind of guy… but the pen interface on this looks promising.
