ye olde overhead projector plastic sheets, and they’d been in use since at least the 1980s.

I use some of those. In our classrooms they fill more of the screen than the computer projector, and are easier to write on. I’m not sure why the vintage of the transparency matters unless it has Madonna song lyrics in the margins.

University is not high school, more of the responsibility to learn is on the student. An entertaining class is a nice bonus, but if you want Dara Ó Briain as your lecturer tuition is going to be higher.

It matters because they’d been knowingly giving the same error-filled notes to students for decades, because they couldn’t be arsed sitting at a computer for half an hour to correct them.
