Social networks are to be exploited not used.
Real social discussion needs to happen somewhere else.
Why does that “somewhere else” not already exist?

I’m not sure if this conversation is even helpful.
You don’t own Facebook. The content doesn’t belong to you. The information you pass between your social contacts is used by Facebook so they can make profit. Facebook doesn’t care about your interests. If you really care about communicating in a way that benefits you do it off Facebook or any other third party. At least use a third party that puts your interests first… if you can find one.

As badly as community trust has been destroyed I believe it is possible and necessary for a society to function. This is a core issue, that the state, foreign states, corporate powers, and racists groups have poisoned the common community. This is a battlefront.
