Numbered list bug (?)

I just tried to reply to a post that contained a numbered list of items:

  1. asdasdasdasd
  2. sdfjsdfsdif
  3. 93247123984738

I tried to start my reply with

  1. blah blah blah,

and instead the number I tried to start with (8) was auto-changed for display to “1”.

Actually, it’s happening in this post too, so I am sure this post make no sense to anyone that can’t look at the source.

Seems like some automation overkill, since I can’t find a way to make it literal without a code tag, which I think does other stuff too. Let’s try it here…here is the original source of the start of this post as code:

Yep…that did what I thought it would do…please to be fixing.

This has happened to me before, too. I just gave up and used bullet points. :stuck_out_tongue:

Markdown does not support starting numbered lists at anything other than 1.

Take your pick!

Sad face.
