At first blush this is a heartwarming story about locals putting out fruit for starving fruit bats, but the real cause is clearing of native habitat.

This is very interesting! This might be something to help cancer patients. Chemotherapy can really fuck up mucous membranes, which in turn has quite an impact on the microbial residents.

I’m seeing a lot of trees dying around where I live in Northern Va. Much more than usual.

Chesnuts, Locust, and some varieties of oak seem to be dying fast.

The buzz of chainsaws was commonplace this Summer and continues…
