I don’t know if you’ve ever been to universal in Florida but they have a whole Seuss themed land in islands of adventure! Mostly kiddie rides but the theming is excellent. There’s even a little lorax area with a bunch of tree stumps. :frowning:

Yup, that was state-of-the-art technology for the time.
But it wasn’t a wire recorder. The Recordgraph used 35mm film (!) which wasn’t exposed to light or anything, but embosssed with a groove.
If you will, a chimera that was part phonograph/grammophone, part tape recorder, and part cinecamera.


IIRC, Tibbets mentioned somewhere that they had a wire recorder on board of the Enola Gay.
