Any weather nerds here? I recently started graphing barometric pressure at my location using a Raspberry Pi with the Sense Hat installed, and I noticed in the past couple of days that in addition to the usual large, slow oscillations of pressure, there’s now a smaller, more rapid oscillation cycle superimposed on it:

It seems this started about late Friday evening (2019-05-10) and has persisted since then. Is this an indication of atmospheric instability, or just typical variations coincidentally strung together?

He [Sajid Javid (UK Home Secretary, i.e. in charge of the police and the spies)] only told MPs that “the compliance risks identified are limited to how material is treated after it has been obtained. They do not relate in any way to the manner in which MI5 acquires information in the first instance or the necessity and proportionality of doing so.”

Except of course that how many people will have access to the information, for what purposes and under what kind of oversight is extremely relevant when considering the proportionality of acquiring the information.
