I think catsidhe meant giving him his own soul, but that is actually a really good illustration of a creature that has consumed someone else’s. :grimacing:

”Third, my buddy told me, ‘This is just a microdose of mushrooms.’ And he was lying. So, I’ll be honest, I thought I was in Blades of Glory for most of the time that I was out there until it sort of settled down. And then I realized, ‘Holy s—. I am at the NHL All-Star Game.’”

Works both ways I suppose, and thus as an apt metaphor – a soul-less creature that consumes souls.

It’s the perfect embodiment of “one man’s trash is another man’s treasure.”

For The Global Game Jam our team built a 3d game using a mix of 2d and 3d assets we found in our Hackerspace, garages, local trash bins, and so on. It’s the perfect embodiment of “one man’s trash is another man’s treasure.” The protagonist is the captain of a nuclear submarine built in a garage. The vessel is controlled using a discarded washing machine front panel. An oscilloscope acts as a sonar and shows incoming enemies. A 128x64 LED panel acts as a periscope. And there’s lots of cardboard for the hull. Gameplay consists of several mini games played using the washing machine panel, the PiDP11 (with Raspberry Pi inside) computer, and a bunch of other stuff you see in the picture. Raspberry Pi acts as the central game “server” and communicates with other devices using serial protocol. The controllers are a mix of Raspberry Pi Pico and Arduino Nano including variants from Pimoroni Ltd (Interstate75W) and Adafruit Industries (Qt Py). Most of the code written in C and C++ with some CircuitPython. We can’t let you download it as it’s not very portable yet, but if you want to play you can come visit us.

(I bet @beschizza has a set-up in his basement!)

I tried to get a copy of this for a while in the mid 2010’s, now it looks like you can just download a pdf of it through drive through rpg.
