I’m not a huge fan of art lessons built around a single artist, which tend to reinforce neoliberal “great man” notions of (art) history, and generally task kids with making derivative facsimiles of another (typically dead white male - though obviously not so in this case) artist. As far as YouTube art ed resources go, I enjoy PBS’s “Art Assignment,” which organizes activities/lessons around a central concept, bringing in multiple artists from different backgrounds and eras, and then (sometimes) challenging viewers to create their own work that operates within that constellation, solving these shared creative problems in their own way by drawing upon the work of multiple artists.

PBS “Art Assignment” - what a great resource - thank you!
