Yep, this is how one of my dad’s best friends back in Kansas died. Stopped at a stoplight, and a car ran right up their tailpipe, killing him.

When I was learning to parallel park, friends would at times help by lifting/shoving it closer to the curb.

Veering further OT, I had a very good-humored teacher in HS who drove a Fiat X19. Tiny little thing. Didn’t take many people to turn it perpendicular in a parking space, trapping it between the adjacent cars. Good times.

I hope that driver gets the book thrown at 'em.
I’ve had too many close calls as a pedestrian and a bicyclist to have any tolerance for idiot drivers.
