Yeah, curious choice for a thumbnail, there. I don’t remember much that I learned in High School biology, but I know that insects are chordates but not vertebrates.
edited to add: And much of what I remember is wrong, apparently. I know that they rearranged the kingdoms since they wrote our biology textbook.

uhm… IANAT (taxonomist) but there’s a phylum Arthropoda and a separate phylum Chordata (and here’s Quora on the matter)
