In the movie Trade Winds, you see a couple of people riding ostriches (sp?) like Vespas. It supposed to be either Hong Kong or Singapore. I forget the movie’s itinerary.
Almost exact, except they had harnesses that ran from their beaks. It looked rather cruel, but that’s the 1930’s for you.

I would totally watch bicycle racing on TV if there were ostriches.
