Gob, its just a normal name.
Call it what it is prestidigitation, no magic in slight of hand.
No, his name is George Oscar Bluth Jr.
Oh. Not according to imdb. Oh well
I was about to recommend the excellent documentary “Deceptive Practice” about Ricky Jay, which is great rundown of the magician history. But BB already beat me to it! http://boingboing.net/2013/04/11/documentary-about-magician-ric.html
I prefer the somewhat more inclusive label of “illusionism”.
Eh, I dunno. I just don’t like being fooled. I know what you are presented isnt possible as it appears, so it doesn’t interest me. My interest in illusion is purely in knowing the techniques which allow the tricks to work. Which illusionists don’t/rarely share, or in the case of Derren Brown, outright lie about as part of the act.
Maybe I’m just too old and jaded.
Edit: I definitely wrote Derren. I’m going to blame my phone’s autocorrect.
Here’s a wacky idea, daneel. How about you comment on articles and topics that DO interest you?
Go to Mechanical Genie Island. Right now if you can.
BTW Derren could make any one of us believe that we are a very special episode of “Blossom” so I’d not call him Darren if I were you.
