Just want to jump in and say that this book is fantastic. My kids started making papertoy monsters from this book a few years back (when they were 7 and 9) when we were on a trip. Tackling a monster kept them happy and engaged for quite some time with little or no help from adults, and then they got to play with the resulting toys.
Within a month or two, they’d made very monster in the book. We even got a second copy so they could make doubles of their favorites. We’ve given copies to many other families with kids about that age, and it has been a hit with all of them.

In the end, it turns out that we are the real monsters.
