According to space.com scientists have confirmed that the Parker Solar Probe entered the sun’s atmosphere briefly back in April. When reached for comment, the Probe said only “Hot! Hot! Hot!” and requested an extra large bottle of SPF-1e6 sunscreen.
I’ve been following this out of curiosity since my company’s software was used to create the control system that keeps the probe’s heat shield between it and the Sun even when sensors can’t be extended beyond the shield lest they melt.
