By all accounts, she’s already at least a couple of years beyond that point. She was noticeably confused when asked about whether or not she wanted the President Pro Tem job in the Senate.

It’s depressingly plausible that the reason she wants to continue serving as a Senator into her 90s is because she has no clear memory of a time when she wasn’t a US Senator and the thought of changing her routine in a fundamental way fills her with terror.

Yeah I feel for her. It doesn’t sound to me like she has the awareness to know that it’s time to step down. And I can understand why no one wants to try to make her step down. But someone needs to.

It’s time for the Crypt Keeper to retire I think. Maybe some of her octogenarian colleges could go with her to keep her company.

The quality of leadership that says you shouldn’t impeach Bush or Cheney until after the 2006 midterms, and after becoming Speaker of the House you still shouldn’t. That lies about torture. That defends access to abortion only to later offer to compromise on it. That can’t hear you when you yell. That claps when a narcissist is endangering us all.

Yeah. She hasn’t dropped any steps and was a complete badass through the insurrection. Which makes me think people pissing on her today? Yeah - it’s about ageism.
