She needs to wait until Dems have secured the majority and hopefully Warnock will win. I don’t know how quickly California can replace her.
State law would Governor Newsom to appoint a replacement for Feinstein pretty much right away, just as he recently appointed Alex Padilla to replace Kamala Harris when she resigned to serve as VP. So that seat is safe for Democrats no matter what Feinstein does.

Fox News was on screen at the restaurant my family ate at today. I’m big letters it says, “REPUBLICANS FIRE PELOSI.” So, yeah, they call it a win and are spinning it into something they did. Sure, in smaller letters on the chyron it said she stepped down, but no one was speaking to that. They just went over all the dumb things the House is going to waste time and resources on, like Hunter Biden and impeaching President Biden.
