Yes, I’m aware. It’s a complement to some of the other German full-plate fighting techniques like the half-swording (gripping the middle of the blade to turn that hand-and-a-half longsword into a improvise spear of sorts).
That picture comes from a series showing the one fighter knocking the helmet off the opponent before ending him rightly.
I wonder how monks would have felt if they’d known we’d be making fun of their drawings a thousand years in the future. On the one hand, we’re goofing on them, but on the other, their work is remembered longer than most. Not a bad trade-off.
