Thank you! It’s been a while since I thought about SRL AND Mark Pauline. I remember seeing a show at the On Broadway in the 80s that basically involved him using a pneumatic harpoon launcher on pig heads. Good times.
I haven’t dropped acid in 30 years and I really loved the Cocteau Twins back then too. Damn, I shoulda mixed those 2. I was busy selling packs of gum to monster in fog.
Cocteau Twins are the best band ever.
Okay boomer?
Wrong generation, dear.
I never got to see a SRL performance in person, but I had the VHS tape and the RE:Search volume.
I don’t think you could get away with that kind of thing these days…
He’s 60.
“ The generation is generally defined as people born from 1946 to 1964”
Though really more a Gen Jones.
I never really liked them back in the day, and haven’t listened to them for years. But yesterday youtube recommended this video, and I am now converted.
Not really… Mark Pauline was born a year after my dad (53), and Perry Ferrell was born in 59, so both full on boomers. Lots of the early punks/postpunks were boomers, actually.
