Fencing is still a crime and I bet the story provides probably cause for a search warrent to search this mans home. And if not that then the police have a lead on some thieves and a fence. The can look at his sales history and then see if serial numbers match up with known stolen items. we know the camera was stolen and those serial numbers match up.
I bet good police work will put this guy in jail
