It seems to me that this is the first time in a very long time that something the USA newspapers have labeled a “pro democracy protest” actually appears to be, in fact, a pro-democracy protest… am I mistaken, or are the Hong Kong protestors actually in favor of democracy, rather than just cynically using the appropriate buzzwords to attract foreign involvement?
