I loved him so much as a kid, but I’m not sure I would use the word punk.
That song sounds like it belongs in the Phantom of the Paradise universe.
Night Court, S1 E11, Harry and the Rock Star featured a “punk musician” whom Harry fell in love with. Things didn’t work out, and at the end of the episode he was listening to her album. Which was pretty much screaming overlayed with the sounds of breaking glass.
I watched this in the wilds of South Dakota, and while I knew it was a screenwriter’s version of funny punk and that it wasn’t even remotely related to punk, I knew the music in the show was more awesome than punk.
Not quite so this record.
