I was wondering when someone would adopt the hastily colourized dithered-greyscale Bill Atkinson aesthetic for a videogame. It’s as much of a valid choice as chunky blurry TV CRT pixel art.
I was working on a GLSL shader for a little while to do it, I should dust that off again.
Something about the colour scheme and graphics style looks very ZX Spectrum to me - especially the dithering.
I was about to say. That colour shot is extremely Spectrum.
