The right game, in the wrong place, can make all the difference to a Wednesday morning…

I’m not proud of it, but all the photojournalism of the Russian invasion of Ukraine has had me craving Half-Life 2

God I loved this game. I’m extremely ready for Half-Live 3.

Can someone tell my friend some keystrokes to do anything? They are having a hard time with it.

Basic controls:
W - forward
S - backward
A - strafe left
D - strafe right
Mouse controls looking around.
Spacebar - Jump
L.Ctrl - Crouch
LMB - attack/fire gun
R - reload
E - Interact
12345…etc - Select weapon
In Uplink you need to wait until the scientist and the guard finish their little dialog and open the elevator before you can do much of anything other than run around.

Also: Uplink is the demo released prior to HL’s release. It’s noted as being difficult when compared to the actual game. But also as it’s a demo and freely distributed that’s likely the reason it’s the only pack that’s working.

It’s very good. Just a shame it has such expensive hardware requirements, VR.

I’m having difficulty figuring out how to load the game after unpacking the zip file. I’m working with Windows 11.

Any suggestions?

Oh… my deepest sympathies. :anguished:
