I picked up a copy once about 15 years ago. The naked shots had all the props, lighting and visual aesthetic of life insurance commercials. It’s not just the plastic that was unsexy, it was everything about the pictures. I’m sure somebody somewhere has fantasies about Washington mutual adverts, but with naked women, but it seems rather niche to support a print empire.
