Police pepper sprayed protestors who formed a circle around a US Border Patrol vehicle in Arizona

If you think I didn’t notice you move the goalposts there you are sadly mistaken. You said:

“The ethical guideline is clear: you should not operate a vehicle if there is anything that significantly reduces your ability to safely operate the vehicle”

I didn’t ever claim it was “safe”, I was merely pointing out that many societies have deemed that one can consume alcohol to the BAC of 0.05% without “significant reduction in ability to safely operate the vehicle”. The data I linked shows that the relevant impact of impairment from smoking marijuana is less than that of drinking to the 0.05% BAC limit. If you can’t follow or don’t like that society has made an assessment of the risks and made choices based on those assessments then tough luck.

You link to data that compares NON-impairment with impairment, while my data compares the relative dangers of two forms of impairment. Oranges with Oranges please bud.

Did you stop to think that society may have chosen that they would like the freedom to enjoy one beer and then drive or is the whole world only made up of lobbyists and politicians in your mind? I agree that 0.08% is a stupid BAC limit but I think that 0.05% is an acceptable limit.
