The beer hat on Kavanaugh is a nice touch, but I feel that for accuracy, Ginni Thomas ought to be standing behind Clarence Thomas (himself smiling a tad uncomfortably), with her twisting his arm behind his back, she grinning widely and with the whites of her bulging eyes pointed directly at us.
We can’t know how that power dynamic works. I prefer to assign agency to the actor unless proven otherwise.

Thank you for reminding me to listen to better angels of our nature, which despite abundant evidence to the contrary, I believe still do exist. Maybe they’re lost in the noise and I am having a harder time hearing them today.
