Disagree with the second one, though. Yeah, Il Douche was pulling the strings, but those asshats absolutely had agency. They could very easily have chosen to, like, not try to overthrow the government.

This! These are groups (or grew out of older groups) who have been trying to overthrow the US since the 90s. Their goals dovetail with Trumps…

My thought too…mostly.

I do agree with another point I see being made, or maybe even the main point: that while the puppets/minions get carted off to prison, the puppet master (as it were) is out of sight/down in Mara Gargoyle, and NOT in prison.

Sure, you are correct, but If I could take a guess at the cartoonist’s motivation, the point is that the PB puppet is being arrested, but Trumpy is still free.
