Well, of course they are. Will you be telling us that water is wet and the sky is blue next? As designers, our business is subjectivity, and reconciling the sum total of all the subjective points of view that interact with our designs. There isn’t much objectivity to be had in the business — though the lack of legibility of grey text on grey backgrounds may be one thing to come close to breaking an objective standard of some kind.
…which sounds like bending the arc of the universe toward objectivity. Fair enough goal.

It strikes me as somewhat of a Pythonic style.

and while such a style makes balancing braces easier, I’ve found that balancing parentheses poses just as frequent a challenge.
