Possible PBBB laptop RPG game

Centaurs at 100 yards now (about eight seconds away). They each transfer their spears to their left hands, and draw a javelin with their right.

How fast is the carriage moving, by the way?

And does the carriage have windows/ door windows with glass or flaps of leather?

Walking pace, glass windows, not much room inside.

How far can I throw a knife? What sort of damage might it do?

Full damage to 11 yards, half damage to 22 yards. Basic damage is 1d-1 impaling (so 2x wounding modifier in the torso, 3x if you hit vitals). As a reference, your horses have 21HP.

Skill of 13, +1 per second of Aim up to +3. Another +1 if you’re not Dodging while throwing (All-Out Attack). Centaurs are +1 big targets, but currently moving at -5 speed.

Throwing knives can be a useful distraction/softener, but they’re unlikely to take anyone down with a single hit unless you’re good enough to hit eye sockets (-9) with them.

I’m at work for another couple of hours so I can’t respond much or in detail after this.

de Courcy will loose at 75 yards, all-out attack with the maximum aiming bonus.
Then fast drawing another arrow to take another shot at 30 yards, with as much aim as possible, regular attack.

Then fast drawing rapier and evaluate, until centur has closed the distance at which point he’ll attempt to step to the side and hack a leg or two out.

If he succeeds in crippling an opponent, but they’re still alive. He’ll fetch his bow and move out of melee to safely finish them off.

Equal or under. But, yup, a miss.

Only one second to load the gun, but another three seconds on top of that if you want to build that Aim bonus up again. Centaurs will be on you in five seconds, and you’re currently lying on the ground in the middle of the road.

We’ve probably got a few hours before de Courcy’s shot is resolved, though, so take your time to plan. :wink:

Is Thwip taking a second shot? If so, how much aiming?

Thwip will stay on Hawk’s attacker to give him some breathing space. But only take an extra second to aim. In the time he has left… if any… he will roll for the underside of the carriage to avoid his own attacker
