Post your Pet or animal Pics (Part 2)

First part good, second part, hopefully the vet can figure it out.

I think we just entered the end of the cycle, Old Man is peeing in the litter box but pooping in a totally different room on the floor. He wanders around like he’s lost and we’re pretty sure he’s forgetting when he eats. All the symptoms point to kitty senile dementia. We’re going to check with the vet just in case it’s something a pill can fix but we call him Old Man for a reason.

Hopefully your youngster will be fine and the new owners will get years of joy like we have gotten with our Old Man (Harry).

I don’t think I could do what your doing, I wouldn’t want to give them up but i wouldn’t want to become attached anymore. Maybe just one more, Mrs. Feral, ends up in the house this summer, don’t tell my wife but she’s growing on me.

My kid has somehow found out about fostering. I’ve told her no, We can’t for a lot of reasons. But the risk of them dying on us is high in that list. I hope Tink pulls thru.

One of our orange tabbies kept his blue eyes for months. Then they spent a month as blue on the outside and yellow in the center. Finally settled into yellow with some green. I was a bit disappointed.

We feared Ravi might be deaf for a while there. She wasn’t reacting to our then-toddler screeching or me calling to her. Vet did the clap thing. Turns out she was just ignoring us both

That’s why I’m not the actual foster—my neighbor is. That little bit of difference, and distance, is vital for my sanity when things turn sad and when it’s time for them to return to the shelter.

Sorry about Old Man. I sympathize. Our Alpha Cat has begun her decline as well (kidney and thyroid disease). I doubt she’ll make it to the end of the year, but she’s surprised us before.

FWIW, shelters also need help with fostering older cats & dogs, often because they simply don’t have enough room or because there’s a small medical issue needing attention and isolation from other animals. The lovely dog my daughter just brought back to the shelter had kennel cough and had never been inside a home before. So they took her for about a week, taught her how to wait to do her business outside, taught her a few basic commands like ‘sit’ and ‘heel’ and how to walk on a leash, and of course gave her the necessary daily medicine. When the prescription was done, the shelter had lined up s a family ready to adopt.

There are so many dogs & cats needing that kind of temporary help, who aren’t at risk of actually dying.

This showed up in my Facebook feed and it’s every cat we’ve ever had but old man is the biggest culprit.

Grand Bunny is beating the odds and still with us so we get to watch her again while our daughter and husband head over to Chicago for a Yoon-gi or Suga or BTS light concert. I thought that stuff was only for the kids but I guess the middle aged folks also enjoy it.

And as always hotel bunny is full service with a live bunny cam so they can check in and make sure we’re doing it right. We have a 3 time a day medicine schedule for two cats and now we had to pencil in the bunny for her meds. She’s a lot easier though.

We do that when there is a cake in the house but then I forget to close the door and Old Man, who’s deaf, senses the open door and runs right in.

If we open the linen closet and turn our back he appears out of nowhere jumps on a shelf and knocks all the shampoo bottles over, it’s almost instantaneous.

One of our cats can be clear across the house with a six year old loudly singing to louder music in the living room and still hear me open the closet. I have no idea why she likes it so much. Keeps getting herself locked in
