That actually looks like a pretty good coaster for the time. Of course, there no way in hell I’d ride the thing, let alone be one of the dudes just hanging out on the decking that looks shakier than half the images on r/decks.

The Jack Rabbit is a real hoot to ride. I love Kennywood. I look forward to my next trip to Pittsburgh! There are a few others that are a lot of fun as well :smiley:

At the 0:45 mark, you can see a ride called The Caterpillar. It was a loop of open cars that traveded in a circle. Half way through the ride a green canvas dome would mechanically cover the cars. So the riders would be in this weird green tunnel going round and round.

My dad had his company picnic at Kennywood every year.

The oldest still operating rollercoaster is claimed to be the Scenic Railway at Luna Park in Melbourne, since 1912
