It would be more fun if it were 15 random websites that were not Spotify, Youtube, etc.
This immediately made me think of Stumbleupon, which at one point I used regularly to find cool, weird corners of the webs. Due to ownership noodging it essentially became a shell of its former self and was bought and incorporated into Mix, which seems to be essentially the same thing being offered here; another aggregator pointing to external content whose main purpose is to drive you back onto the freeway of paid-for content. The app reviews are good, so maybe it’s rediscovered what made SU great, but it doesn’t seem worth the download at this point.
Yup, ‘pre-enshittified stumbleupon’ was my immediate thought too.
Same. stumble was great for a long time, then it quickly went downhill.
This is why I stared with Boing Boing, but now it’s just a lunchtime habit.
Buon appetito!
Isn’t that what LLM AIs do? /s
