Pronunciation pet peeves - or how to engage in passive aggressive pronunciation

It seems that I have broken it! I cannot say as that I am surprised. I am usually recognized* as being from the northeastern US, although even for here, many of my idioms and pronunciations are certainly atypical.

It said I was most from Oxnard, followed by LA and Santa Clarita. That’s ludicrous. I’m from Huntington Beach. They didn’t ask about pronouncing ‘dude’ or what ‘bogus,’ ‘hairy,’ or ‘gnarly’ meant or they might have gotten it.

My boss says “entrepreneurship” funny. Its hard to describe, but instead of the french sounding “entrĂ©e” part at the front that most people say he says “enter” like an anglo
 its so weird to my ears and I almost misunderstand him every time!
