Prosecutors wage war on judges who insist on fairness

Thanks for the laugh.

Was this post brought to us by RJ Reynolds, Philip Morris and Cato?

Ah, yes, there it is again: guilt by association, the asshole’s favorite argument. Thank you so much for providing another fine example of what I was talking about.

I guess to you, it doesn’t matter what kind of valuable work a journalist does on an underreported beat – if he doesn’t pass some kind of political purity test, he might as well be Glenn Beck. Hell, if someone admires said reporter’s work, he must be on the Koch payroll, right?

Can you do me a favor? Which journalists on the nat-sec/police abuse beat is it okay to like? Do you have a list?

“Association” being being paid by said associates to promote smoking. Sorry that your hero is a right wing creeper. Watch your mouth too.

That’s not remotely true (opposing public smoking bans ≠ promoting smoking), but even granting your stupid premise, what you refuse to acknowledge is that “right wing creepers” can perform valuable journalism in the public service.

I’ll steal my last words on the subject from Christopher Hitchens: “Their accounts were essential reading; the allowance for prejudice and inflection was part of the fun of one’s bookkeeping.”

As for my mouth, you seem to be watching it enough for both of us. I can’t say I blame you: it is luscious.
