I haven’t seen the film yet, but this is the exact tone I felt from the book “White Noise”; sleepwalking through a disaster whose growing magnitude isn’t enough to command anyone’s full attention.

I kept thinking during the first 55 or so seconds, Good metaphor for climate change. And then, boom.
