Excellent episode of CBC Marketplace, showing food waste at a Walmart in Canada.
Update to be aired tonight: Walmart are making some changes to the way they deal with surplus food.
Most of the things I dump are things friends bring in our family doesn’t eat on a regular basis. The last food I threw out was half a spoiled jar of onion dip. And people are actually including coffee grounds as discarded food? What do you do with them, make a frittata?
