Raw milk lovers are spinning the government's H5N1 warnings into a conspiracy theory

I don’t drink milk and consume very little dairy generally, but I work with a lot of farmers and farm agencies and have seen some small-scale operations here in New York (one of the nation’s largest dairy states). They were all absolutely immaculate. Gleaming white tile, clearly marked wash down areas and sanitizers; even the poop troughs were super clean (except for the fresh poop, of course). When I do buy dairy, I am always sure to buy as local and small scale as possible for this very reason.

yeah, small farms seem the way to go. and importantly, small farms where the farmers actually own the land. rather than live having to rent it from the big ag companies  our farm policy does not make it easy for them.
