Looks familiar!
I received a 50+ year old spice rack from my mother with bottles of spices that were either dark brown leafy bits or dark tan sandy stuff. “You can use these, can"t you? You cook foreign dishes.”
I opened each one; some smelled like a vague ghost of what they were supposed to be, some had no smell at all.
Contents were dumped, and repurposed for spices I really use.
