Wow, that was some beautiful and heartbreaking writing.
Ross Douthat should read it right before taking his claim that Didion has anything in common with conservatives like himself and then shoving it up his tight arse (from whence it probably came).

I’m not sure what to think about this use of her writing:

I’m not sure what the heck whoever made or approved that video was thinking.
It used to be the promotional ad used during broadcasts of sportsball events.
Being an alum and fan of such events I never thought much about it at the time, but now that I’ve become more familiar with her since her death (Netflix doc and reading snippets of her writing…so I’m far from an expert), I really cringed at seeing this again…
