Go, Seth!

This sign was on Armitage Avenue, just west of Lincoln when I was a kid. We always loved that sign! Later, I was pleasantly surprised to see it in the Chicago Historical Society museum, which is only a few blocks away from the sign’s original location.

This was done at a time when skilled craftsmen created signage for the people. I predict this will come back again, but the neon will be replaced by LED, and the design will be from apprentice wan-a -be’s

The Chicago History museum is really interesting and a do-able size. Also in a good neighborhood for restaurants, and near Lincoln Park Zoo. Worth going to if you’re in the city.
