Review of the $150 CraftSynth 2.0 synthesizer

When I was a young thing in the 70s, and I heard of Moog synthesizers, I wanted one like real bad. But they were way too expensive.

Fast forward a few decades and I was able to but Animoog for the iPad for $30 (introductory deal when it first came out), and it was a dream come true. All the synthesizer I could want.

That being said, I’m all for innovations like this, but I got enough with my Animoog. If other folks have fun with this CraftSynth model then that’s great!

I got me a Mutable Instruments Shruthi-1 kit a few years back, and it sounds amazing. Best DIY electronics project ever. Sadly, they don’t sell the kit any more, but they open sourced it.
