If this is true (and for the record I have no reasons to doubt it) it is a mafia style power move from Putin in the style “burn down his house and make it clear it was intentional”, this is a political declaration and statement of intentions, that is why they had no problem allowing him to be treated in Germany. The message has to be delivered loud and clear, “yes, it was us, so what?”
They did delay 2 days letting him be moved to Germany though. Either to try to have the poison be less detectable or hide the method that they used to give him the poison? Or was it just a lower official blocking the move until it was decided that Germany proving the poisoning didn’t matter?
