Speaking of badass rockers, not enough people in the world have discovered the utterly awesome Isobel Campobell and Mark Lanegan collaborations.
If I did a Twin Peaks movie, I’d use that album as the soundtrack, intact.

A moment of clarity, it appears.

I absolutely love that song, though. I wouldn’t deny that he had moments of brilliance like this - just that the majority of his output was below par.
Oh, ghod. +10000 to this but to their credit they have a sense of humor about their music.
I remember reading an interview with them where they were upset that someone said they had 3 albums that all sound the same when in fact they actually had 7 albums that all sound the same.
Here’s one that will bring on the pitchforks. I find Kate Bush to be largely unlistenable.
ETA: I also find the Grateful Dead to be hugely overrated
I don’t get all the Nickelback hate.
I mean, yeah, they are basically the epitome of overly polished and soulless corporate rock, but they aren’t like objectively bad or anything. They are just kind of there. There’s obviously a lot of people that like their music since they manage to keep touring and selling records.
The whole “lol Nickleback sucks” meme just seems like a typical Internet circle jerk rather than anything substantive.
I’m a huge Beatles fan and think Let it Be (which also has TLaWR on it) is largely a terrible album (even the non-Spectorized re-release isn’t that great although it’s an improvement) but at that point they basically had imploded as a band and largely wanted nothing to do with each other.
I do feel strongly that they at least managed to end on a high note with Abbey Road.

Acdc is awesome. I never understood how awesome they were until I moved to Arizona and they were every other song on the radio.
Why no, Stockholm isn’t in Arizona, why do you ask?
…especially on the pipes, eh?
If that doesn’t bring a smile to your face, you are dead inside.
Well, it’s bad enough having to worry about condensation in woodwinds, but adding creosote build-up in the chimneys is a bit much…
Steve’n’Seagulls are brilliant - not every cover is as good as this one, but they are good enough of the time that I love them.
Very well done (but I’m still glad I ain’t got purty lips… ;)).
Not the same AC/DC tune, but something really quite different…
jesus fucking christ she’s good
Yes, she is.
Out of likes? How can that be!? My heart is filled with love.
Anyway … they own that song.
Who else. I am in love with that woman.
I really enjoy Joanna Newsom’s music.
